The Kean University Alumni Association was well represented at the
2016 NJEA Convention, held in the Atlantic City Convention Center from
November 9-11. Kean’s banners and booths were welcoming sights
for the proud alumni in attendance. The alumni booth was staffed by
several members of the Alumni Board, including some current education
professionals. Additionally, over 500 alumni updated their records and
received the much sought after Kean NJEA bag and pocket calendar
gifts. Alumni who were interested in finding out admissions information
for their own children, or who were considering coming back to Kean for
graduate school, also had the opportunity to stop by the Undergraduate
and Graduate Admissions booths.
On the evening of November 9, the Alumni Association hosted its annual
Alumni Reception at Caesars Palladium Ballroom, welcoming back
approximately 250 alumni who mingled over hors d’oeuvres while hearing
the latest news about the College of Education fromDean Anthony Pittman.
On Friday, November 11, Veterans Day, Kean concluded the festivities by
handing out (and tossing around) Veterans Day stress balls to attendees,
and making its first ever #MannequinChallenge video.
