James Young ‘93
was appointed as state
director of the New Jersey chapter of the
March of Dimes. Overseeing all of the chapter’s
functional areas including fundraising,
staffing, programming, public affairs and
communications, Young manages staff in three
divisions across the state. He also coordinates
with volunteers statewide to raise money
supporting research, education, community
programs and client advocacy; helping moms
have healthier babies and full-term pregnancies.

as a winner of the Belk Southern Designer
Showcase.
Cynthia Kenney O’Donnell ’94
of Toms River
High School East was chosen as her school’s
Teacher of the Year for 2015. O’Donnell has
served as a Social Studies/Psychology teacher
for 21 years in the Toms River Regional School
District.
Janice Marsili ’94 MA,
lead teacher of fine and
performing arts at David Brearley High School in
Kenilworth, was named Union County’s Teacher
of the Year for 2015-2016.

was awarded the

Susie Bartolome Peterson’96 ’98 MA
has
been conferred the degree of Doctor of Clinical
Science in Speech-Language Pathology
from Rocky Mountain University of Health
Professions, and was awarded the 2016 Student
Scholar Award based on the level of scholarship,
research and writing for the doctoral research
project.
Christine Dansereau ‘96 ‘98 MA
was sworn
in as the first female mayor in the Borough
of Roselle, N.J.’s 132 year history. Dansereau
previously served as 5th Ward councilwoman
for eight years and the last three years as
councilwoman-at-large.

was appointed as the
new principal of Clearwater Middle School in
Bermuda.
Maureen Rebimbas ’96
was among 37
women honored at the 36th Annual Tribute to
Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored
by YWCA of Union County. Maureen has
over 30 years of experience in the industry,
predominately in the ShopRite Financial
Services Division where she is currently Financial
Manager of the Non Perishables divisions of
Wakefern Food Corporation.

appointed as the Assembly Majority Conference
Leader by New Jersey State Assembly Speaker
Vincent Prieto. Sumter, of Paterson, was first
sworn in to the Assembly in 2012, representing
the state’s 35th District in Bergen and Passaic
counties. As conference leader, Sumter is part of
the Assembly’s Democratic majority leadership
team and will preside over caucus discussions
and debate.
