Kean’s unique International Film Series will feature several award-
winning films to start the New Year, after a well-attended fall season
that featured the Academy-Award winning
Cinema Paradiso

International Disability Film Festival best film winner

the series returns with
The Nightingale
,
an award winning Chinese film by director Phillippe Muyl that tells
the story of a husband’s efforts to keep his last promise to his wife.
Mother of George
, a film from Nigeria directed by Andrew Dosunmu,
will be featured in the series on
Saturday, February 25
. This film,
a New York Times Critics’ Pick in 2013, tells the story of a Nigerian
woman who leaves West Africa for Brooklyn, where she marries a
restaurateur and trouble ensues. The International Film Series takes
place in Kean’s STEM auditorium near the entrance of the STEM
building. All shows start at 3 p.m
